A few weeks ago I was invited to stay at the Hyatt Palm Springs, an all-suite hotel located in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. This hotel was in the best location to explore the city! We were invited as guests of the resort & I had personally been planning this getaway since May. I selected the month of November so that I could go when the weather got a bit cooler. :) I also wanted to have the ability to enjoy a relaxing getaway before the craziness of the holiday season started. We did not realize the weekend we selected also coincided with the Gay Pride Festival, which made our weekend a fun filled and exciting adventure as we had never attended this event before.

We live in Orange County & Palm Springs is a short one and half hour to 2 hour journey away which makes this area a great weekend getaway, that is local, yet far enough away from the norms of our daily life. When we entered the city of Palm Springs, the town really emanated a resort feel based upon the architecture of the buildings, desert landscapes, hotels and shopping that encompassed downtown Palm Springs. :)
Indian Canyon Drive – Palm Springs
As we entered the main area of where all of the fun shops and restaurants are in Palm Springs, we were excited to see our hotel was right in the heart of the action! Palm Springs is not a wild crazy town, so what I mean by this is that our hotel was the best location in reference to shopping, museums, art galleries and restaurants! I was pretty excited.

The Hyatt Palm Springs is a short distance (13 mile drive to be exact) from the exit of the 10 freeway. You simply drive down the highway 111, a simple country road, to arrive in the quaint, yet welcoming city of Palm Springs. The Hyatt is located off of highway 111 at 285 North Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA. It is very easy to find when entering Palm Canyon Drive.

The Hyatt Palm Springs has 197 recently renovated spacious suites that each have separate living room areas, plush grand beds (I loved their beds…I slept so well and even asked how I could purchase one of these beds), refrigerators, and more. There are five different types of resort suites that include standard, accessible, deluxe, suite, and view. Another awesome feature about this resort is that they are pet friendly and the prices to bring your furry loved one are not astronomical! To bring your fur baby, there is a $50 fee per pet, per stay for up to seven nights. Most hotels with pet policies charge per day, so I loved this factor about the Hyatt Palm Springs!

The Hyatt Palm Springs also offers complimentary shuttle service to & from Palm Springs airport, outdoor pool bar (seasonal), 24 hour gym, in-room spa services, nearby walking & jogging trails, poolside cabanas and more!!

Something, or should I say, someone that I must mention that made my stay very pleasant at this resort was the fabulous Front Office Manager, Greg Pannonia. He works at the front desk of the resort and is always there ready and available to help you with anything he can with a huge smile on his face from ear to ear! :) He talked to us about the variety of different nightlife venues in the area, made us a dinner reservation, and I saw him help an elderly lady access the internet and show her how to get driving directions to head home after she check out of the hotel. He made my stay quite welcoming and pleasant, so I cannot complete my journey of the Hyatt Palm Springs without giving him a shot out! Head to him if you need help with anything!

We both thoroughly enjoyed the Hyatt Palm Springs as a weekend getaway! As I mentioned above, the beds were very comfortable and the view from our balcony patio was beautiful overlooking the San Jacinto Mountain range and the swimming pool and cabanas. The location of the hotel, as well as amenities offered are definitely something to write home about!
